Elvis Aaron Presley is know to most as as “The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll”. Presley began his career with rockabilly, mixing country and rhythm and blues with a strong back beat. He crossed boundaries by mixing “black” and “white” sounds. This made him both popular and controversial. He was a wild man on stage . His voice was versatile, allowing him to sing gospel, blues, ballads and pop in addition to rock. He is the only performer to have been inducted into four music halls of fame.
