CAPE CHARLES -- Jim Smith, who will portray Elvis in The Pioneers of Rock show titled "In Vegas" at the Palace Theatre in Cape Charles on Nov. 13 at 8 p.m., had the distinction of winning the preliminary round of the first-ever Elvis Presley Enterprises-sanctioned Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest held in Virginia Beach on June 24, 2007.
