Vampire Weekend stands apart (Chicago Sun-Times)

The legendary Sun Records producer Sam Phillips once said if he could find a white singer who sounded black, he'd make a million dollars. Soon after, Elvis Presley cut his first single for Sun, the blues man Arthur Crudup's "That's All Right Mama," and the rest is history that proved Phillips right. Sixty years later, Vampire Weekend is fulfilling the same prophecy.
